Each summer the Inland NW region plays host to two open water events. The Steve Omi Memorial Swim is usually held the third Sunday in July on Lake Coeur d’Alene and the Sandpoint Long Bridge Swim held on the first Saturday in August. Neither of these events are official Inland NW Masters Sanctioned events, however many Inland NW Masters Swimmers as well as other swimmers participate in these events.
